Airbus will Participate in the Istanbul Airshow 2022

Airbus will participate in the Istanbul Airshow, which will be held at the Atatürk Airport on October 6-8, focusing on the aviation industry and its services and contributions to the opportunities in the Eurasian market. Airbus will present a portfolio of innovative products and services that meet the country's current and future aviation industry needs.

 

On static display will be the #A220 in the airBaltic colors. The A220 Family was designed to feel like a wide-body aircraft. The cabin provides passengers with wide seats and generous personal space for a very comfortable experience .In addition, the A220 brings significant environmental benefits, 25% reduced fuel burn and CO2 emissions, and low noise levels. This makes the A220 Family aircraft ideal for urban operations and noise-sensitive airports.

 

In helicopters, Airbus’ most versatile single-engine light rotorcraft – the #H130 Airbus Corporate Helicopters (#ACH) brought to AIREX by the aviation start-up Mavi Air will be displayed. The H130 is known for its performance, reliability, low sound levels, versatility and cost-competitiveness. The H130 sees widespread use among a variety of operators, including charter outfits, sightseeing companies, and emergency services.

 

At the exhibition hall, the Airbus stand C1 will feature scale models of the #A350-1000 - the latest Airbus long-range widebody twin-engine jet airliner, the #A330 MRTT - Multi-Role Tanker Transport aircraft, the #ACH130 - the single engine reference in performance and style, and the #ATR72-600 - the regional aircraft suitable for all business models, all regions of the world and in any type of conditions.

 

Airbus will also demonstrate a wide range of service offerings, including upgrade, airframe and training with particular focus digital services. 

 

After the official opening of the fair by the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Turkey, Adil Karaismailoğlu, visitors will have the opportunity to discuss and explore a number of Airbus' innovative aviation solutions.

 

On October 6, at 15:00, a panel discussion titled "Decarbonization of Aviation Industry" will take place bringing different perspectives on sustainability topics and fostering open dialogue among the audience and panelists. Wouter Van Wersch, Airbus EVP, President Europe Region and Sales, will share some insights on Airbus’ suitability roadmap.

 

On October 7, at 11.00, Airbus’ Head of Urban Air Mobility (#UAM) Strategy Execution & Partnerships Balkiz Sarihan will hold a session on the challenges and perspective of Urban Air Transport.


A dedicated press briefing on A220 single aisle aircraft will be given by Claude Debeauquenne, Head of Single Aisle marketing at Airbus.
