Havaş Began Hosting Import and Export Cargos at its New Temporary Storage facility in Antalya

Being one of the most preferred brands in air cargo sector with its customer satisfaction oriented approach, Havaş began hosting import and export cargos at its new Temporary Storage facility, which has recently been put into operation at Antalya Airport. Providing cargo and temporary storage services at international standards, Havaş’s Antalya facility has special storage areas available to store general cargos, valuable cargos, perishable cargos, cargos containing dangerous goods as well as a live animal waiting room. Standing out in the sector with its reefer trucks and investments in equipment that have hardware compatible with new technologies, Havaş will also provide service to bonded cargo transportation sector with its scheduled transportation services from Antalya, in addition to Izmir and Ankara, to Istanbul Airport.

Havaş Acting General Manager Mete Erna stated, ‘’Air cargo sector offers a growth potential both in Turkey and abroad with a demand increase in e-commerce market, electronic products delivery as well as cargos containing food, medicine, medical goods, etc., particularly during the pandemic. Our growth strategy focuses on contributing to the development of the sector in Turkey as well as expanding our service points and providing service to airline customers at many more locations. Hence, we included a temporary storage facility investment in Antalya Airport to our portfolio besides Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir airports. We will continue providing the highest-quality and the most reliable service to our airline customers in Antalya as well with our cargo storage areas and equipment of various specifications designed using new technologies at international standards. In the following period, we will initiate reciprocal, scheduled transportation service between Antalya and Istanbul airports for interprovincial bonded cargo transportation. Our reefer trucks will also be used as part of bonded cargo transportation service”.

Providing 860,000 tons of cargo service within its network, Havaş offers handling of import and export cargos at its temporary storage areas in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and Antalya covering an area of 20,457 sqm, in total. Transferring its extensive experience and know-how in ground handling services to its logistic operations, Havaş provides storage services to general cargos, valuable cargos, cargos containing dangerous goods and chilled cargos.
